Adam & Eve Part 13: Hidden Sin & The Spirit of Guilt

Genesis 3:9-10 KJVS

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? [10] And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Why did Adam and Eve hide from The Most High God? They were embarrassed, they were ashamed, they knew they were guilty. And as such they hid thinking they could cover that shame.

Luke 12:2 KJVS

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Adam and Eve, due to their wicked state at that time, were not thinking in line with righteousness but rather in line with how they felt in the moment. Thinking they could hide from The Most High God. But you cannot hide anything from a being who can see and comprehend all things in creation at once. And for anything he may by any chance miss, he has an army of angles who can see and report in as well. So your faults will always be made known.

Proverbs 28:13 KJVS

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Covering your sins will cause you not to have the success you desire. If you look at the history of Israel, whenever there was sin in the camp, we did not do as well. Need that be in military conflict or in economical gain. The Most High was aware and punished us accordingly. Not always as a direct punishment being his will but as a cause and effect. No different than the laws of nature that govern us. What goes up… Must come down; gravity. So too does the spiritual realm have law and order that it follows. We must fight to acknowledge what we have done wrong and make the conscious effort to fight not to repeat the same mistakes. Notice that Adam and Eve were not forgiven and cleansed while they hid but only after they acknowledged their wrong doing to the Father were they both judged as well as given mercy. He that hath ears to hear let him hear.

Psalm 89:45 KJVS

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

Our days of youth have been shortened. Meaning, we now grow old faster and die sooner. This is not a glorious thing but a shameful one. As The Most High God set us up to live perpetually and then for hundreds of years. Yet, now we barely live to see 60 years, let alone one hundred years.

Job 31:33 KJVS

If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

Adam decided to conceal and hide his iniquity and chose to cover his transgressions. And not only Adam and Eve but for many Isrealites in this day and age, they choose to do the same thing. They conceal their sins, thinking it will save them. Concerned more about appearing right, rather than being right. The last thing you want to do is hide sin. As it can become a slippery slope and lead to more sin. And God will never grant you favor if you are moving adversely towards him. You will stay in a cursed condition, never moving forward into a blessed state.

Genesis 3:11 KJVS

And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

The Most High God had two of the most simplistic self condemning questions. Who gave you this information? And did you disobey in partaking in the very activities I told you not to, due to the slippery slope it would cause?

Isaiah 30:1 KJVS

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

When you go outside the box you only anger the Most High God. And instead of a blessing coming you receive judgment in the form of a punishment. As a judgment can technically be good or bad. It is rather a decision being made. Because you sought advice and guidance but you did not look to him for the righteous way to go about it. But leaned according to your own understanding and sought out those who would not give you sound counsel. And now you are subjecting yourself to these people that are not of The Most High God instead of subjecting yourself to him and his will.

Genesis 3:12-13 KJVS

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. [13] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Even in the midst of you confessing, you still may not be able to fully realize what you did wrong, why it was wrong and how to make it right. And can still be very much so defensive. Or answer in a way, where you do not take accountability or rather shift accountability to other parties. When the reality is, no matter what part someone else may or may not have played, you still had to make a choice. Now what did you decide to do?

James 1:14 KJVS

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

You have to be mindful of your desires and motives, as you are the first line of defense to combat Satan and any evil desires or spirits not of The Most High God.

1 Corinthians 11:3 KJVS

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

We must look to our God for guidance and instruction, as well as the standard expected of us.

1 Esdras 4:18-19 KJVA

Yea, and if men have gathered together gold and silver, or any other goodly thing, do they not love a woman which is comely in favour and beauty? And letting all those things go, do they not gape, and even with open mouth fix their eyes fast on her; and have not all men more desire unto her than unto silver or gold, or any goodly thing whatsoever?

As men, and/or teachers of male children, we must understand that a woman can be our kryptonite. But she can also be that can of spinach, senzu bean etc. To help you win or succeed. All the more as to why we must teach and lead by example concerning the pit falls to avoid. As you have to learn to fight being seduced, at a time when you should be correcting or rebuking.

1 Esdras 4:26-27 KJVA

Yea, many there be that have run out of their wits for women, and become servants for their sakes. Many also have perished, have erred, and sinned, for women.

You can put yourself in a vicarious situation messing with the wrong woman and where now you can find yourself in deep trouble listening to bad counsel from a source close to you. Many have fallen short across the board messing around with the wrong woman. So even though many men (and women) may blame Adam for being a poodle in that moment instead of a lion, many men have repeated the same mistakes.

Genesis 3:14 KJVS

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

You have people who break this down to a literal point. But if you have been following along you know that this is symbolic. God said unto this wicked man that he will be cursed above all the other animals of creation. To better understand this, let us look at an example used by Christ found in Luke.

Luke 12:24 KJVS

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

As human beings, let alone Israelites, God provides for us. And he provides for the animals. So you being beneath them would reflect how low you have fallen that God prioritizes you and your needs beneath that of all of these other animals he made. He will make sure a raven will eat but won’t hold your life in the same regard or your wickedness.

Genesis 3:14 KJVS

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Another side of it, would reflect in him having to go upon his belly and eat dust. Not literally but figuratively.

Romans 16:20 KJVS

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Now here we see that the scriptures are letting us know that Satan is in a low estate but he will be in a space where he will be bruised under our feet, meaning he will be crushed completely. And this is even understanding that he is in a low estate as a serpent. And if you already down there you make it easy for me to stomp you out. And The Most High is going to ensure we get to stomp him out.

Micah 7:16-18 KJVS

The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. [17] They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. [18] Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

You see the same reference here as found in Genesis, licking or eating dust like a serpent. Why? Because a serpent is a creature that can’t fly. It can’t move as fast as many other animals. Most snakes are slow moving and have to wait for or find opportunities to eat. And they are at a disadvantage being low because they don’t have nearly as good of a vantage point on the ground when compared to a bird in the air, let alone a lion or even a cat. They are short sighted and can’t see a long ways off. Which would reflect how many are only worried about now. Because they know in the spirit we don’t have a later.

Genesis 3:15 KJVS

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Before we break this down let us get an understanding of enmity using the Strong’s Concordance:

Enmity is hatred, or hostility. And this was not something that was limited to that generation. But something that would be continuous. How? Well we must understand two key factors.

Genesis 3:15 KJVS

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The first entity is Satan. The woman being represented as Eve, literally being the mother of all living, is a representative of Jerusalem.

Galatians 4:26 KJV

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Jerusalem is the woman that continues from Eve.

Jeremiah 6:2 KJVS

I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

And even us as Israel. The child of Jerusalem is likened to a woman.

Genesis 3:15 KJVS

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

So now, when the scriptures start to mention seed. Some immediately think or reason that the woman must be able to produce semen and has seed in and of herself. But we must understand that seed has more than one definition.

sowing {time} posterity: - X {carnally} {child} {fruitful} seed ({-time}) sowing-time.

Seed does not have to be used literally. And in this context it is not. And can be used to apply to fruit as something grown or identify children. Like in the context in Genesis with Eve.

Genesis 4:25 KJV

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

Notice Eve uses the word seed, but she is not trying to make it seem as if she brought this child about on her own through parthenogenesis or something similar. But rather the scriptures give place to the fact that Adam and Eve were sexually intimate to be able to conceive seed. Like planting a literal seed in the earth, that will now grow and bring forth new fruit in due season.

Revelation 12:1-3 KJVS

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. [3] And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Without breaking down this whole segment, this gives us an understanding that the seed of the woman and the seed of Satan; that red dragon, or serpent, will continue to have enmity even thousands of years later. What we read here in the spirit, is happening and being carried out by physical descendants in the flesh.

John 8:44 KJV

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The spirit of Satan would give birth to a wicked seed that would be adverse to the righteous seed. This is why Adam and Eve were happy to have Seth because he would be a righteous bloodline. Whereas Cain’s bloodline was filled with wickedness. And ultimately was the main bloodline that helped to bring about the flood.

Proverbs 28:4 KJVS

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

Anytime we abandon the law we leave off praising righteousness and begin to praise the wicked. Our mindset and thus our actions begin to shift. But if we keep the law, we will be at odds with the wicked. We see this played out even to this very day.

2 Esdras 3:36 KJVA

Thou shalt find that Israel by name hath kept thy precepts; but not the heathen.

And the main ones known for trying to keep the law as a whole is Israel.

Wisdom of Solomon 2:1 KJVA

For the ungodly said, reasoning with themselves, but not aright, Our life is short and tedious, and in the death of a man there is no remedy: neither was there any man known to have returned from the grave.

The ungodly are reasoning and meditating but not the way they should be. Not according to righteousness.

Wisdom of Solomon 2:12 KJVA

Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous; because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraideth us with our offending the law, and objecteth to our infamy the transgressings of our education.

But because the wicked don’t want to do right and left off from righteousness, you being righteous is a problem. You are an eye sore. And the more you try to correct, the more issues come forth. They realize you just won’t let them do what they want to do.

Genesis 3:16 KJVS

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

So what changed? If the man was the head already? See, now childbearing would be much more painful. Whatever abilities the old body possessed were stripped. Just as those bodies were made to lasts indefinitely now they would decay eventually. Likewise, those bodies lacked active pain receptors, now they have pain receptors. Now this body is not only subject to pain but sickness. And when it comes to childbirth you are going to feel it greatly compared to what was set up prior.

Furthermore, your desire is going to be to your husband in a way that is now magnified compared to before. He was your husband before and your leader but you guys had it easy. You didn’t have to experience the weight of it. Now you will have a desire. But let us look at desire using the Strongs Concordance:

From H7783 in the original sense of stretching out after; a longing: - desire.

Desire meaning, stretching out after or longing for your husband. How? Well, on one end of the spectrum he must work now. So his presence will often times be lacking from the home. Which means the housework and care of the children will primarily and at many times solely fall on you. Now you will wish he was home to help more. To help ease the burden on you. But also with all his labor you don’t have the same amount of time to build together, to bond together, laugh and play together. You wish you had more time, you wish he had more availability to be present for you. But he gotta work in a whole new way. He has to labor. He must provide and protect in a whole new way.

Genesis 3:17 KJVS

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Now for the man. You are no longer in a place where the earth naturally produces all of your food. Just go grab it. Now you actually have to make tools to take up the work of husbandry. The foundational work that came after the sin of Adam and Eve and one of the foundational works as a husband; working the land; hard labor. Because you put the woman before God, now God will have you working hard for the woman you chose. God made things easy but listening to her made things hard in your life. So go work hard for her.

Judges 16:5 KJVS

And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

You get enticed and seduced all to your ruin.
