When it comes to the seventh day sabbath, one may ask if sacrifices must be made according to the law?

Colossians 2:16 KJVS

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Here we are shown to not let anyone “judge” you in respect to meat, drink or the sabbath days. Leading many to believe that these are ultimatums across the board, leaving one open to how they apply the laws of the Old Testament and rather that they really don’t have to be kept and to disregard how anyone else may feel concerning them. However this is far from the truth. But this passage is a direct reflection of a similar passage in the Old Testament. As we will soon learn and further understand as to why it was used.

Numbers 28:9-10 KJVS

And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: [10] This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

As you can see, there were meat, and drink offerings that were made and had to be made in regard to every sabbath. This was understood by the apostles of Christ. Which is why they worded it the way that they did. And this was in reference to whether or not due to Christ sacrifice would we still be mandated to follow this portion of the law? And if we don’t should we be concerned? And that’s when the Apostles of Christ had to let them know don’t concern yourself about what others will think and how they will feel as you are not in the wrong. Why?

Ezekiel 45:17 KJVS

And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

From this scripture we learn that these things were made to make reconciliation for the house of Israel through these continual offerings. Which in this regard was no longer a requirement through Christ sacrifice.

1 Esdras 5:51-52 KJVA

51 Also they held the feast of tabernacles, as it is commanded in the law, and offered sacrifices daily, as was meet: 52 And after that, the continual oblations, and the sacrifice of the sabbaths, and of the new moons, and of all holy feasts.

There were sacrifices made daily. That now we no longer have to offer and sacrifices for the new moons and all holy feasts. But this is all addressed here below.

Hebrews 10:6-10 KJVS

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

It stated, “in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin…” showing inclusion of both. That we no longer are required by law to give a sacrifice every time we sin. Nor are we required to give the sacrifices and offerings daily or on new moons, sabbaths, and holy days the way that our forefathers and foremothers had to according to the law, thanks to Christ sacrifice. This stands as part of the main change that came about in the New Testament that differed from the old, leading to much debate concerning if one was in sin for not doing so. The second argument was whether or not the man whom the world knows as Jesus Christ really was the prophesied messiah. And the third argument, was if reconciliation was to be made for both the northern kingdom and southern kingdom that became gentiles and fell away from the law, making themselves uncircumcised. And if they could atone and have hope of redemption. But at least now we have a better understanding of the sacrifices made during the sabbaths and no longer being mandated to do so by law.
